Ms. Anna Rehberg

Anna Rehberg is a current third year undergraduate Music Education student at Mason Gross School of the Arts. She grew up in Montville, NJ, where she spent her time finding various ways to be musically involved throughout the community, studying voice at age 13, and since has additionally studied piano, viola, violin, ukulele, xylophone, and guitar.

Anna’s passion for music began through her exposure to theater as a child, and grew upon her involvement in choir and orchestra in high school. Throughout her musical career, Anna has participated in numerous choral ensembles through state organizations such as NJMEA, NJSMA, and MACDA. In 2019 she won the 2020 New Jersey Governor’s Award in Arts Education for vocal music. Upon her acceptance to Mason Gross School of the Arts that same year, she also earned the Global Knights Award for her academic and musical achievements. She has also proudly served on the executive board for the Rutgers University collegiate chapters of the National Association for Music Education and the American Choral Directors Association, currently holding the role of President. She additionally is Co-President of the Rutgers University Kirkpatrick Choir and a proud member of the Rutgers University Voorhees Choir.

Anna’s musical background, studies and performances cover a diverse range of music, languages, and cultures including musical theater, classical, everyday pop, and beyond. She has experience in Music Direction along with various classroom teaching settings, including General Music, Band, Chorus, and Orchestra and has an extensive background in Music Theory and Aural Skills.

Since her first years of high school, Anna has never doubted that being a music educator was the right path for her. Her mission has always been to inspire, help, and teach others through music in the same way that she was inspired by her own high school music teacher. Her love for music and teaching is enduring, and sharing it with others has always been one of her deepest passions. Anna’s other passions include a good NFL game, singing with friends, being out in nature, spending time at the beach, photography, the Yankees, and of course, her three pups!
